The Scripture reading was John 15:4-7.
“4Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.
5"I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing. 6If anyone does not remain in me, he is like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. 7If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you.”
As the exam season approaches stress and frustration plays a huge part in many of our young adult and teenage lives. So the most important lesson I took from this message was that I must remain in God for him to give me strength and bring me through this tough period in the academic year.
I admit there have been times when work has taken over my life and I have brushed God aside. However time and time again I have realised this does not work.
“Remain in me, and I will remain in you.” I believe this quote is of great importance and will be helpful to all of us who need God by our side.
